Welcome to the website of the 2010 Global Forum on Modern Direct Democracy, a five-day international event that was held in San Francisco, July 30-August 4, 2010. The conference attracted more than 400 direct democracy professionals, activists, critics and scholars and produced the San Francisco Declaration on Modern Direct Democracy.

 

The 2010 Global Forum website documents what the more than 160 speakers said and serves as the platform for the follow-up work. The site features online debates and global working group efforts. This website is an entry point for 21st century modern democracy.
